Paediatric Continence Assessments
We provide high quality continence and toileting assessments. We aim for your child to access the appropriate continence supports and have a healthy bladder and bowel system. We create individualised toilet training programs suited to the needs of your child, and build your capacity to make it a positive and successful routine in your home.

What is a continence assessment?
A paediatric continence assessment is a thorough evaluation of your child’s bladder, bowel and toileting functions. This is to understand the cause behind any relevant concerns, and develop a solid therapy plan to support your child to achieve optimal bladder and bowel health.
Our continence assessments involve an in-depth discussion and history taking with you and your child, exploring all aspects of their body function and toileting habits. We use a few assessment measures to gain a clear picture of the concerns and observational assessments of the environment and toileting routine. Our assessments may also include a physical assessment of their tummy, strength and sensation. Our continence assessments and treatments are non-invasive and we don’t do internal exams.
